The graduating hand dovetailed drawers are constructed from solid Oak and the drawer fronts are veneered with mahogany curls with a delicate cockbead molding .The opposite side of the writing desk contains two cupboards below false top drawer fronts which are decorated as the desk ends with astragal moldings and circular paterae. The writing surface has a hand dyed leather inlay and gold tooling. The finely cast brass handles are exact copies of the originals and are hand made using the lost wax process.
